I haven't been on the forum for some time (Oct 07 I think?) so to start, I hope the beginning of 2008 has been good to you all!!

Right, I want to let you all know about an event I am organising in Leeds on Saturday 28th June 08 called 'Tackle North'.

Tackle North in Leeds is our launch event and is being run with the objective of offering a cost effective means for new, small/medium and online based businesses to meet and sell their products/services to a new and previously untapped customer base. The plan is to explore Northern regions of the UK with Tackle North and to target those that do not/cannot or won't travel to the large (mainly Southern based) events that are held in the UK each year. We aim to run TN as a mixed event covering all disciplines of angling; however interest shown so far indicates that the Leeds event will be mainly carp/specialist orientated.

The event will be held at Pudsey Civic Hall and will run from 9:30am to 4:30pm. The day promises to be well attended and with a bar/catering and on site parking for 300 cars a good social is on the cards too! Entry price on the door will be £2 (under 14’s go free) and this will include entry into a raffle that will be sponsored by one of the industries big names (TBC).

If you are involved in the angling trade or are a business owner and would like to exhibit at Tackle North, spaces start at just £30 (6ft by 9ft space). Larger spaces are also available at discounted rates (12ft by 9ft @ £55 + larger options available). The event will be small and intimate (30 to 35 exhibitor spaces) and I am expecting to fill the floor by the end of March, so if TN is of interest please contact me ASAP for further information or to book your space at the event.

Couple of other updates.....

Evening all!

I am pleased to announce that Angling Intelligence are now confirmed as event sponsor of Tackle North Leeds cool Along with AI's full product range being on display and available to purchase at the event, the company will also have some new sample shelters on show!! Top stuff and well worth a look!!

In addition AI will be offering one of their shelters and a couple of other products as prizes for the raffle, which is included in the £2 entry fee to the event biggrin
