The U.n.o. aftermath
Last night, there was a coming together of people from around the n.w. at a sports/social club on the outskirts of nantwich in aid of cancer research. It was a fantastic night and a success in my eyes and i hope that those who came had a great night and didn't feel to rough this morning (unlike me!) we raised 250 quid for charity and i think that all of you that came should give yourselves a pat on the back.
I just want to say thankyou to jules and chesh for helping to bring some more raffle prizes and also to daves of middlewich,stapeley angling centre, my lovely girlfriend (who also got incognito and L.Clarke a taxi home from mine  ) and my mate james skade from giovannis resteraunt who all also donated prizes for the night. the raffle alone raised near 110 pounds which is a brilliant result.I would also like to say a special thanks to my mate Oll and Big dave. oll's not on the site but he came down and helped me set up the gig and the two of them sold 90% of the raffle tickets, folded and seperated the tickets and helped me announce the winners. without them two the raffle would have been a balls up if i'd done it on my own. also dave collected the entrance fee for me. Again, i can't thank these two enough for there help on the night. cheers gents i owe you one .The night itself was excactly as i hoped it to be, everyone enjoying themselves and having a few beers. a few lads came down from dodds to support us and have a few and everyone got on brilliantly. most people said to me that it was great just putting names to faces and meeting people in the flesh. I was pretty nervous for the first couple of hours and i think it showed a bit as i'd never attempted to do anything like this before, but once the beer flowed i settled down and can't remember the last time i had such a good laugh  .A few moments that i'll treasure are the singing by lee(elvis)clarke, chesh as take that and myself as bobby darin. chesh's vocals of the choir singing never forget were magical and some of the dancing moves pulled would put wayne sleep to shame (or to bed!). booth projectile vomitting outside and calling out that he'd won on the raffle when i was informing the room of the total we had raised ( ) was another comedy moment. also lee clarke's vomit respray of the side of a minibus using his head out of the window and the little brown present i discovered he had left me in my toilet this morning (cheers mate but my birthday's next month).Overall, i think it was a big success and i am looking into doing it again next year at roughly the same time of year(might be slightly earlier yet by a week or two). Again i can't thank all that came enough for coming. also if you got a pm of me in the last few weeks about the U.N.O. and didn't get a reply from me i apologise but i was sending so many messages out i couldn't reply to all of the people who pm'd me back. Undernaeth are the photo's of the night, cheers again people and i hope you catch what your after this year.
