Thumbs up Pics of my New Split Cane…

Still not found out much about it, but well pleased all the same.

Banked my first fish on it the other week – going to be well smart for stalking…

Yep, well happy for twenty notes.

The ferrule had a very slight knock but I’ve sorted this by removal and reattachment. The eyes and handle were a bit grubby too, but these have come up really nice with a bit of tlc.

Looking forward to summer stalking sessions now!

Funny you should say that mate; I’m just awaiting delivery on some Indian crow quills and genuine porcupine quills!

Forget the rod, I'm more impressed with the realtree rod rest.

Old fella's got a Richard Walker mkIV avon rod in good nick, he hardly used it and has just started fishing again since he retired when he's off in the caravan.

Has also got an Apollo steel match rod that I used to use as a kid and caught my first tench on, bit tatty this one though as I repainted it with airfix black paint

It's a Mitchell 410A.

It's got the longer handle giving a 4:9:1 retrieve. The one in the image is near mint; hardly ever been used and is still really tight. Have had some cracking battles with it - love it to bits!
