you havent got any of the old north western rods cant remember what they were called,might have been ss or something like that,might have been 10 or 11 ft 1.75 tc?

did have mate not any more still got from 1986,2 carbon kevlar 12ft 2 1/4 northwestern multi ranges,and 2 11ft 2lb dam quicksticks

yeah ss 5`s ss 6`s ss 6a`s probably did more but can`t remember mine were bought second hand and were bought as blanks and made up by the chap himself.them duplon handles were as thick as tree trunks probably just about got my hand round the handles

northwestern are remaking the ss5 ss6 and another one not to sure they should be out this summer a think it is ano they are nearly fishind the design

The 1.75lb test Glass fibre blanks produced by North Western were AC 7's 11ft 3".... Sort of a copy of the very popular T24.


The SS Glass fibre range were 2.25lb upwards. The stepped up version were SS4A...SS5A.. SS6A 10 ft and 11ft. 2.25lb up to 3.25lb.
In todays terms they would probably be classed as half decent floater rods

still got my ss6s........could cast a good 100yds with mitchell 300s/410s!
