Default B James Richard Walker MK IV Carp Rod - top section replacement or repairs?

Recently acquired another B James Richard Walker Mk IV split cane carp rod. It's in lovely condition, with no sets, perfect cork, eyes and whippings. The only problem is a clean snap through the top section about a foot from the tip.

It cost me next to nothing, and I got it mainly for spares for my other one, however, the thought of a pair is now appealing to me and I'm thinking about either getting it fixed or trying to source a replacement top section.

Anybody know where I might be able to find a top section?

I've looked into getting a repair, and the cost of slipping in a new section of cane in between the break would be around £150. I know you can pick a complete rod up for not much more if you buy right, but this one is particularly nice, so I'm not really sure what to do.

I guess I don't just like the idea of breaking it for spares, the thought of bringing it back to life to fight another day (or fish) is growing on me!
