Stick it on ebay just to test the water, so to speak. If your not happy with the price, i,ll outbid everyone for you! Failing that, you could send it over here with me to make a nice soup out of it with the rest of my carp guzzling friends!

How dare you? As of yet i've managed to avoid the carp on the menu. Mind blowing pictures in the local tackle shops of 50lb plus fish, just a shame there dead. They are supposed to run to 70lb plus in lake Balaton with the average size of 25lb plus, but with 140 miles of bank to choose, it's a frightening prospect!

I'd stick it on ebay and put a reserve on it to see what it gets to,if you'd be happy with £100 stick that as your reserve,or a bigger reserve if you feel its worth more......if you get a few people who want it,i guess its worth whatever they're willing to pay, you never know you might av a "rodders and delboy" moment..............

One of the key factors in the value of a cased fish is who the taxidermist was..!!...If you want to send me all the details you can about the case, I have a very good friend that will tell me the approx. market value..

Try taking a few photographs and sending them to sothebys, they will do there upmost to help you and if possible give you an idea of the value.Alternatively, try local antique auctions and ask them if they have sold similar items in the past.I have seen stuffed fish before at several auctions when viewing, try Warren & Wignalls in the preston area..
