Default More roach through the ice.

Myself and Griswald found ourselves smashing ice this morning just to wet a line. Bites were hard come by this time, i found myself moving swims after an hour without a bite, which again meant getting the rope and chain out.. The days tally, I ended up with around 10 fish to just over a pound, but today belonged to Griswald who had around 15 fish with the best two going 1lb 3oz and 1lb 5oz, see picture, great day out...

.....and not a wicker basket in sight.

Well done, I just went for a drive round the lakes this morning. Couldn't be bothered to fish TBH. I must be poorly or something.

What bait were the fish caught on, and what method?
Hooksize, line etc.
Every little info helps.

Is that a mitchell 300 type I-spy in the background?

red maggot, size 20 barbless, 1.7lb, 3" hook length fished on a power gum leader, bolt rig style.. in conjunction with a small feeder.
And yes that is a 300 that gerry is using, I use a cardinal 55 whilst on the feeder but still use my mitchell match when i'm on the waggler..Lovely the old stuff..
