Default lovely chubly

finally got round to fishing the mersey, very close to where i live last night, went down at weekend and cut myself a peg, and fished it for the last hour of daylight, within ten minuets of being in i extracted my first ever chub, about 1.5 lb on ledgered worm, minuets later had another little chublet!

Dont think many people fish it at all between stockport and where you live mate all i can say in my experience of the river is it does not fish well if at all when the cold weather arrives may be different further down near you but on the Didsbury/Cheadle stretch its not at all clever in the winter But i wouldnt know recently as i dont live there anymore

it's still compleatly wild where i am stig, all the bank work was done as far as the carrington spur, from there un till it joins the ship canal it's wild as you like

gonna give it a proper go in winter, once all the bankside vegitation has died back, had a right job getting down to the bit i caught from.
these are old pics from feb this year.
