Default My First Ever & A PB

Caught my first barbel on the river Trent this weekend, cant believe how they fight! i thought id hooked one of the bulls that was in the field on the far bank haha

Well done mate.Yes they scrap I can remember my first Barbel in 1988.I was using a 1.75lb carp rod and when I had it on my dad said dont worry you wont snap the rod....lol....it weighed 3lb 12oz...lol...

Well done Adam, fantastic fish to start off with! I bet you thought you'ld hooked a monster at first! Amazing fight for their size!! Keep at it mate, the Trent is a fantastic barbel river and will reward you with some great sessions and captures if you put the time in. Go get 'em pal!
