Default River Goyt Barbel

Fished the River Goyt on Sunday last trying to catch my first river fish, well chuffed as I caught three Barbel, had been on various stretches over the last three weeks but had nothing, they weighed in at 3lb, 6lb and 7.5lb, this is the 6lb fish

and this the 7.5lb one, hoping to catch a few more in the future.

Top fishing.

I'd love to catch a proper river Barbel.

Had stockies in commercial fisheries but not real river fish.

Might be a future target!!!

Well Done!

Cracking Barbel Jan, really nice looking fish, will try and get amongst them myself this year, time permitting. It's nice to see that barbel are thriving at the moment, let's hope this can take some pressure off the carp waters! -Yeh right!
