had a few hours back on the ribble on thursday , found it around 6 inch up , and clear , not crystal , but the peaty coloured dark water

baited 1 area tight with about 10 big feeders of mixed pellets , daluco of course , then waited for the sun to set

got the bite i was after at 9.15 , and had a good scrap

when i first saw it in the net i was giving it 8lb , till i saw it on the mat and thought i better weigh this one

scales went 9lb 7oz , not a particularly long fish but it had been having a bit of a scoff and is my best from the ribble this term so far

probably be back on the dove next week

I gotta get my ass in gear this winter and get back onto the Ribble Whiskers Trail...had them to just short of 12lb...last time I went was over 3yrs ago...if anyone wants a try on there, I'd be happy to meet up and show you the day ticket stretches and help out with tactics etc...
Looking for a 13plus if I ever get there this year...
