Default What did you do tonight?

Me, a couple of hours on Sykes Reservoir.

Started at 7.15 and was home for 9.30.

Got down to the Reservoirs and the cloud was very dark after a glorious sunny day. It'll blow over I thought... wrong. Torrential rain for a good half hour. I wasn't gonna let that put me off.

Set the whip up at 3.5 metres feeding a dozen or so grains of hemp every put in. Bites were almot immediate. Admittedly these fish weren't going to break any records, but good fun nonetheless.

A good hour catching these, then their slightly bigger brothers moved in.

Good sport on the whip on a 1lb bottom and a 20's. Rather have done this than watch anything that was on the box. With the added bonus that I got to fish for free

not quite, but worth getting a soaking. Total cost of tonights fishing, about Ł2 for the hemp, bargain.

You may not have caught, but you had more of a chance on the bank than at home...

Four hours in the Traffic Centre, can't think of anything worse! I'm sure they think I smell when ever I walk through Selfridge's, they keep spraying me with aftershaves.....

How can a woman go shopping for four hours and not buy anything???

Still you've probably earned a few brownie points

If that were my missus, we'd have to have a trailer fitted to the car on the way home.

Thanks for the kind thoughts Drynetter
Fair do's I was away 4 days last week fishing and am out all day on Sunday so can't complain too much, but isn't my favourite place to go

4 hours is nothing, to put it into perspective she's like a stealthy angler carefully checking out all of the likely swims, often returning to them throughout the session to have another look while she makes up her mind.
On this particular session we bumped into a familiar face on the bank who she hadn't seen for a while, and the seconds quickly passed by into almost 30 minutes while they exchanged tips on what had been seen and where. We checked out several of these spots and despite her best efforts had no luck, she reckoned the sizes were grossly under estimated anyway
We had a break half way through for a coffee and bite to eat, then back to it but all to no avail and we headed home as the night began to fall. Am sure we'll be back again before too long, maybe we'll try early morning next time before the aisles get too crowded and get a few more hours in. Can try a few more "swims" then, is also another venue opened recently on the same complex that she wants to try, specialising in homes and interiors

Can't wait.............................................. .....

Genius, pmsl She blanked then.....

Instead of the 'roving' approach Kev, maybe suggest choosing one area she particularly likes, and spodding (spending) all her bait (cash) into one swim (shop) then just sit on it for a few hours, I'm sure something u'll turn up, a nice Leather (Jacket) maybe or a Fully Scaled Handbag or something...
