thanks fella's.
I was fishing peg three, as i could reach the gavel bar to the right (where carpologist suggested) and the reeds to the left,.The common came from the bar on a 12mm dynamite halibut frozen boilie in a pva bag with about 10 freebies. The mirror came from the reeds, i put the whole rig in a large pva bag full of maggots and maize and cast the bag about six inches into the reeds. The tench were caught on maize from a few areas around the reeds. I usually use nrg boilies but could'nt get any, so i tried dynamite marine halibut, they appear to be ok. |

SELF TAKE PHOTOGRAPHY
A camera that takes a bubble release (screw thread on photo button), and has a thread underneath too, for use with tripod. Gold Label do a camera adaptor, which has a universal joint, which attaches by thread to a bankstick (or tripod) and screwes into the bottom of your camera also. A bubble release system, which is basically a long roll of cable with a bubble at one end and a screw thread the other. Screw the thread onto your camera button (or you can buy a frame system from Jessops, if yours hasn't got one), and when you put pressure on the bubble a small rod is activated, thus taking a photo. For the best results, put your unhooking mat on the ground with a bankstick behind it centrally. Fill the frame of the camers, focus on the bankstick, set your camera to Manual Focus now, as the focal range is set. Now put the bankstick on the floor, behind your mat (remember the fish will need to be above the bankstick, because thats your focus point). Have the bubble release situated where it can be easily depressed by your foot. Get fish out of sack, place on mat, depress bubble release as required . . . . great pictures guaranteed every time. Hope you can follow all that

Yep - Jessops sell them, I used to have one for my
old Canon EOS's, as they didn't have the screw fitting. Basically, the frame which is a rod which attaches to the screw fitting on the bottom of your camera and has a small thread which moves up and down the rod, you tighten this piece up so the bubble release is exactly above your 'photo button', so when you depress the bubble a small rod shoots out & presses the button. Sounds complicated, but is quite simple, just a bit of practice required. Have done all my own picis myeslf so far this year, and all perfectly framed in focus! Just don't ask me to show you them
