Yeah mate, it was very slow, had 4 takes and managed to land 1!!!
We only found that bar towards the end of the session, thought i'd not bother with the marker rod at first and just av a cast about with it being a pretty small place. Decided to av a plum around and found it straight away and it was no where near where we'd been casting . As soon as i put a rod on it i had a screemer which took me to that snag i was told about and cut through my line like it was 1lb bottom . Oh well i'll know next time... after all carp fishing is about learning, if it was easy then it would be boring

Well done mate, may this be the first of many. My old man used to say that there was two ways to learn.
1 The easy way - learn from others, apply what is useful and add to your own knowledge
2 The hard way - find out everthing yourself

Talk to the lads, they will not put you wrong, check it out for yourself and apply. Don't forget to share you knowlege with others.
I'm not saying give all your secrets away but its by helping others that our sport progress's

As i said on the old forum if you catch a fish and tell the guy next to you how you did it and he adjusts his tackle and catches 1 then the number of happy anglers on the bank that day has doubled .
Nice one Jonny lets hope its just the start you need and mucho big Kippers follow your starter for 7.

Thumbs up

Nice one mate, a big thumbs up.

Just goes to show that applying a few basic principles of watercraft will improve results.
