Bridgetts five

just got back from an 8hr session on a pool in Stoke area called 'Bridgetts'...its a bit like turners but not quite so many fish. Well I did pretty well...there was seven fishing when I turned up at 10 am (lazy bas***d that i am lol) and no one had had any carp...just a guy on the pole snatching a few bream/skimmers...I ended up having 5 fish upto 9lb 14oz on 'paste' (no boilies )...two were real stunners and what they lacked in size they made up for in being fully scaled....any of the stoke lads if you haven't fished it give it a bash as its worth £3 of anyones money when times are hard for a confidence booster

yeh thats the one...£3 a day or about £12 a year or you can get a ticket for £6 from jan 1 to march 31, which is what I did last year....had some great fun on there nothing big but upto 15 runs in about 7/8hrs.good fun and some nice looking fish

theres a blast from the past i used fish it when it was free!!! isnt there another pool over the road?

yeh there is another pool over the road....i've never seen it but from what I hear the fish between there and bridgetts have a tendancy to move around a lot.......and theres still loads in bridgetts

i heard that as well! and when they tarted bridgetts up a few years back some of the things they found in there as well and i aint talkin about the fish stocks!

I love it on Bridgetts....the first time I went last january this bailiff said to me "hard water this is mate in winter...not many come out" I had 15 runs in 6 hrs lol....yesterday the resident match fishing king "theres no carp coming out now mate.....you might be lucky to get one out" i had 3 in half an hour....i dont know what they're on about...the pools about 1/2 an acre and has hundreds of carp in it...how can you go wrong

we used go down when we were young, free fishing and not a milion miles away wasnt much big in there then mid doubles if that

Yeh there is a handful of doubles i think upto about 15lb....but you can still catch even when most of it is iced over....

No but my mate has a few years back...he's had fish out upto 20lb...supposed to be a 27 in there isn't there? have you fished it then...with it being local...hanley have got it now haven't they?

not sure bout the 27lb i used fish it 10 years ago as a guest(cough cough) bit bashing its about the same size as bridgets havnt been down there for years.Anyone could have it now never see anyone drivin down to it either

pretty sure that hanley have it....and theres defo a 20lb + common in there unless it died or has been moved....might be in Bridgetts LOL
