Default capesthorne

Try the shallows at this time of year you can usually find a few up there and dont over look the margins

Doing better than me mate!! I've managed absolutely nothing so far!! I think the advice not to neglect the margins is definately good as when i as fishing the far bank of the garden pool last week a mid-double mirror swan right under my rods and there were a fair few showing all along the margins!! I know what you mean about falling in love with the place - i cant think of many places which could be nicer to fish! The fish all look stunning too as i was watching them swim around the bridge and i was also lucky enough to help a guy photograph two-tone last week... now thats a stunning fish!!

Fell in love with the place, and not even fished it yet, Walked around it many times!! From what ive heard get your stalking rod out! If still no joy go stand on the bridge and just watch them swimming up and down, i stood on the bridge for ages.

Well my little change brought a fish..............shame it was only a tench, but a fish none the less! At least its given me a bit of confidence in my rigs and fishing in the heavy weed!

Must say thanks to Gaz H too for getting tits deep in water to net it out of the pads for me!!!

Next time it will be a carp hopefully!!!!

Went for a walk round there last night!!!!!! Unbelievable!!!! Ill change my thread to read "fishing in light weed!" How can you fish in that? To be fair I only looked at the pegs that back onto Capesthorne but it looked heavy all the way through!!!

May try the zig rig next time I think! Cheers guys!!!!

Cant believe you put a pic of me with a bloody tench on Gaz!!! Saying that tho, it could be worse, it could be one of the 8oz skimmers I always seem to attract wherever I go!!!
