Default toppy common!!!!

hi all just to let you know was on top pool last night(sun) and was woken this morning to a screeeming take at 4 am. after a bit of a battle i slipped the net under the common i think is know as 'mental' at 16lb 14oz well chuffed as this is my new pb common!!!! pics to follow.. also thanks to geff for the borow of his fox diggis as batts went in mine.

oh yes!! first of 2006!! done my reserch last year and early on this year first proper chance i've had to get out tho, can't wait to get back now, all them other waters are a distant memory

But, am I missing something here. During the earlier part of the yr and on the old forum everyone was saying how difficult it was to catch from top pool. Whats different this yr, come on Phil you've put the time in, you must have some thourghts

this wasn't a fluke alot of skill and effort went into this capture lol, i did a few sessions last year and only had one fish stalking it is tricky i mean take opening week there was only one fish out to my knowlege, and that was due to someone being bothered to get off there backside and go and find em, it's not the type of place where you just chuck it and f**k it. it's only small and them carp know every nook and cranny we just play second fiddle to them cause once you find them, chances are they move on till they get found again.(imo)
