Me and the brother in law was on the lake nice and early. Couldnt see any fish showing anywhere just small silver fish.

Day was pretty dead until my right hand rod which i thought was the dog at first but then realised the line was pinging out of the clip and was away. Hit what felt like a nice fish which was staying nice and deep. Netted this lovely fish at 20lb 4oz. I havent seen this fish before so was welcome.









Then we got the brews on and had a chill out again. My mate turned up so we was having a good chat and the left hand rod was away. Another nice run. I hit the rod and thought i cant put Rob through his third blank so handed him the rod.



It was landed nice and easy with no drama. It was the larger stumpy tail of the lake at 18lb 13oz.










As you can see Rob was over the moon and was ace for him to have such a big fish for the first one. After a brew and a chat we thought lets pack up and return nice and early tomoz.

Oh yeah just a arty farty one.

Was a mint day weather wise and fish wise. The 20 was a lovely fish and didnt have any mouth damage which is good for there

It has been a nice day mate.I have been on the bank myself for 5hrs.....I did catch one but well...lets just say the chod rig is no longer my 'Big Fish Secret Weapon'......lol...

Better than a blank though mate. Weight doesnt really bother me but it is nice when you get a biggy

It was nice looking little 12lber so its better than a blank like you say.Just when I need the chod to keep singling out the bigger fish though I go and get one of the small ones, oh well theres plenty of time left yet this year

Im not on a role mate just lucky to get out as much and put the time in. Think two months would drive me mad at this time of year. I would be pushing the barrow to the lake just to get out

I have been seen on the bus before and a few of my mates get taxi's. If you want to get out that bad you will.
