Default My first double

After alot of small carp to get used to handling fish and using different rigs thought it was time to go and have a bash at a bigger fish,

Managed this at 14.1 which makes a new pb and my first double .......

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET as matey !! congrats on the first of what will be many doubles and bigger

little hint on the photos matey... get the fish on dry land and find some vegitation.. bushes, reed beds etc.. and take the pics with them in the background understand that probably excitement took over when you netted it and realised how big it was

Muchos Congratulotos Lee

wrong... you had the unhooking mat under the fish fella adrenalin would of took over without a doubt!

thing is though Lee you are doing your basics as mentioned.. catching the small ones and working your way up... takes a big man to admit that.. rather than go straight after the lnkers for instant carper... i doth my cap

Looks a loverl;y little water but having your back to the water ruins most pics, THE REFLECTION FROM THE WATER MEANS THE MAIN LIGHT SOURCE Is BEHIND YOU AND THE RESULT IS A DARK PHOTO and a poor shot of the fish. Take the fish in the sling to a nice safe spot of the boards and get a decent photo, think about the sun, like the lake it should not be behind you.

Well done on your double and your refreshing attitude to learning instead of these instant 20,s and 30,s newbies.

Good luck.

If you really want a shot of your fish with the lake behind you, to eliminate the problem that Ian has mentioned above, make sure the flash is on. Generally though, I'd look for vegetation as my back drop, not the lake, unless you got someone behind he camera who knows what their doing

Not picking Lee, just offering some friendly advice mate
