Default Stalked in less than an hour . . .

I went for a browse around a syndicate water
I've just joined on wednesday evening about
8pm . . . put some gear in the van just in
case.

I found a few fish cruising round, but saw one
real chunk, so tracked it for good hour.
At 9pm went back to the car to fetch a rod and
some bait . . . I introduced a few bits and bobs
into the margins and sat back to gauge the
fished reactions. Got the big fella, tasting a bait
or two, so kept topping up the bits and pieces.

I introduced a hookbait just after 9.30pm as the
light started fading around the tree lined margins.
Just before 10pm I got the bite I was after, and after
a very spirited 20minute fight landed this beauty
at 32lb 6oz . . . the biggest fish in the lake and only
his second time out in 2years. . . .you could say I
was a tad pleased.
