Default Mission Accomplished...
a session yesterday armed with the fly rod and yep! nailed one....

you will have to excuse the pics as first time with digi cam on tripod etc.. lol half a head chesh !!

my slightly unbalanced set up proved difficult with the wind etc... made even worse by the flies were all sinking.. popped a peice of cork on to make it float and bang.. a healthy scrap ensured this little beauty graced my net

11lb 12oz



also lost one aswell as it shed the hook but still mission accomplished and i am one happy chappy

brilliant chesh! no method to beat the fly if you want a challenge, a return to the roots of fishing, it just shows how different the same fish could be viewed i.e. if you caught an 11lb 12oz carp on bottom bait tactics would it have given you the same buzz?
