it all depends on where you are fishing and what your situation will be. I:E weedy/snaggy swims, clear open water, big chucks...

also invesy in a glove either a dedicated casting glove or a leather golf glove!! You don't want to take chunks out of your finger giving it the big one

The first time you use it your heart will be in your mouth when you have a fish on.

I used braid for a good 3 seasons after Mr Incognito put me onto it and have to say I loved using it. Once you get used to using braid you will to, its totally different than mono but its no problem to master.

Good advice from AB, one other tip is make sure your clutch is tightened right up solid when your going for the big chuck. The last thing you wont is the clutch slipping under the pressure

When I first started using the braid I used Fox Graviton and had no problems, I have moved onto Berkley Whiplash now for my spod and marker rods. A lot of people I know use or have used this braid and rate it very highly.

Don't forget to soak your braid for a couple off days before you put it on your spools and make sure you have a bit of mono lining on your spool first

I also found that giving your spools a splash with lake water prior to casting helps reduce wind knots

Hope this is some help to you pall,

Cheers Slimster

I also (when backing) cover the mono backing with electrical tape to stop the braid bedding into it...
