Default fox worrier es rods

hi
i am thinking of changing my old rods. i have diawa powermesh x but there about 7 years old now and getting a bit passed it, few repairs and loads of scratches.
after a trip to my local shop i noticed these fox worrier es rods, they made my diawas look like boat rods, and they were only about 50 quid.
as money is quite tight at the moment, as i am trying to set my lad up with all my old gear.
give me some honest truth if anybody has used these rods please
cheers

I have not used them but did consider them when I bought some rods September last year. However I struggled to find a pair that had all the rings in a straight line and some of the finishing left a bit to be desired.
You might like to consider the Chub Outkasts - slightly slimmer than the Fox's but a bit stiffer in the lower section at the same test curve. They are available at a similar price (£107 for two from Eng. Ang) and have a life time warranty (just £20 to cover postage).
I have the lowest 2.5lb TC version but they are capable of a 90mt+ cast (by better/stronger anglers) and have landed fish to over 40lb without any problems and a 100% run to landed rate so far (i.e. no hook pulls).
I am so happy with them I am also going to by a pair of 3.5lb for a trip to France this year.

For what it is worth I have a pair of the 1st generation Fox Warrior rods and cannot fault them at all. A few years down the line and they are still brilliant tools that have served me very well indeed.

From my occasional glances in carping literature in WHSmits I seem to recall the original (and possibly Mk2) Warrior rods getting rave write-ups and clearing up in the group tests.

Mike.

I have a set of the Fox Warrior XT's sure there is better on the market for more money but for the price you will be hard pushed to find a better rod.

Stapeley has a huge selection of rods all set up get down and have a look before you buy mate
