Default Shimano Reel Repair / Service

Does anyone know of anyone locally who will have a look at a shimano reel, reel feels a little stiff when turning the first couple of times after this the reel is fine, (tried spraying it with wd40 and cleaned it but didnt seem to work)

dont want to open it myself just in case i **** it up lol

Lee,
Is the reel new? I've felt a few new 'uns and they feel as you say somewhat stiff,this is usually due to the grease inside to lube the cogs/gears. They havea habit of slapping excessive amounts in at times to compensate for rain etc which will in time dilute the grease and make it thinner and possibly seep.

Bare with it for now if it is new,it will loosen up.However,take care if opening up the side plate,one bouncy spring can fly an amazing distance and then you WILL need to return it to the Felindre for repair...

its not a new one ive bought it second hand will bear with it for now and see what happens if not will send it for a service cheers oli
