Default Aqua....

I bought a MKII Aqua bivvy, it was one of there seconds it was just missing the ground sheet, but when i got it it had been badly packed and had been dropped on its end resulting in the poles punching holes in the fabric, when i contacted Aqua about this the were very good and collected it for repair.
When i got it back i could not believe the job they had done they had just sewn a patch on the out side, it was a different colour and different fabric and looked like a 5 year old had done it, then inside they had put a load of seam tape around it it looks awful, when i contacted Aqua about it all i got was "if you dont like it we will give you your money back" i was not impressed with the attitude, i dont want a refund i wanted a professional repair, was i expecting to much or what, has anyone else had a bad experience with Aqua, i decided to buy Aqua and not Trakker due to the good reports i had read and been told, now i am not so sure i did the right thing "better the devil you know".

I was shocked by the attitude , i thought Aqua were better than that which is why i went to them, the bivvy its self i great, if they had told me what they were going to do i would'nt have sent it back and looked at doing the repair my self, now i cant even remove the patch and do that as there is loads of needle holes alover the place and it will leek like a sive, i am writing to the Manager and see if i get a different reply as i dont know who answered the Email it could have been the tea boy.

Will they not exchange it for another

At least they are prepared to give you your money back, so nothing will be lost on your part. Might be worth a trip to the shop in Chorley and drop it on the desk, would be surprised if a deal can't be done for a replacement.

I bought a seconds Aqua mk3 mozzi earlier this year,I had asked what the fault was (small patch near the elastic toggles at the base of the bivvy) when it arrived I put it up, I saw a different fault located on the roof, it had been patched but I wasn't happy at the thought of it possibly developing a leak further down the line. I contacted Aqua to tell them about the problem and they offered to exchange it, I asked that they send me photo's of the fault on the replacement bivvy and they emailed them through to me so I was sure of what I would be getting. They sent the new one and collected the other at the same time so I didn't have to faff and shell out extra for postage.
Keep on at them matey, they may have offered you a refund as there aren't any more seconds in stock at the mo
