Default New reels around £120?

I am looking to get some new reels for around £120 each maybe abit more!
I have looked at the new shimano ultegra xta and like the look of them .
Just wondering if anyone has them or could recommend a similar priced reel?
cheers

If thats your budget I would have thought shimano big pit baitrunners would be a good option, though im a diawa infinity man myself.
You could pick up the diawas of ebay for around 120.

I'd go for Shimano Big Baitrunner Longcasts as Ian said, great reels. If your having all three they usually knock something off them.

If you don't want to go that big then the 10000 XTE's are good too.

Another factor to consider:

Big baitrunner longcast > 790 Grams

Ultegra Xta > 680 Grams

Both baitrunners....Both shimano...both cost about the same maybe a bit less for the ultegras!!!

i would have to agree try and get some infinity's of e.bay or some where mate i've had mine for a bit now and they are exellent superb line lay exellent clutch not to heavy.
the long casts look a bit long for me (although i am used to handling long thing's) just before some one reply's with humour to that lol

Long Cast are good reels but the downside is they are heavy, too damn heavy for some rods imho. They just don't seem to balance right on my rods so seemed to hinder more than help for distance casting.
Don't get me wrong, they did add over 40yrds to my cast but they just did not feel right on my rods.
I have still got a set but they are now consigned to spod ad marker work.
The Power aero 10000xte are a much better reel and can be picked up for around £150.00 s/hand. These are much lighter and a hell of a lot better in my books and they do look rather good too
The Daiwas Infinities are another good option as well but I sold them to get the Aeros instead as I prefered the Shimanos.
At the end of the day have a good look around and get what you think is better for you.
Keith
