Default Pod or Sticks...

I prefer my pod for the pure simlicity and ease of putting it up but many people i speak to prefer to use banksticks.... what do you use and why....

bank sticks all the way for me quick to use and light to carry and you can point a rod in which ever direction you want, ie directly were the rig is placed. which imo give's you much better bite indication

Default pod or sticks

I have gone over to sticks this year like has been said better bite indication and also I think they are more solid than a pod..I still use my pod when I cant get the sticks in but I have a good try first...lol...

I have always used solar sticks, but with three rod buzz bars and three alarms the twist I used to get drove me mad, I've since bought 4 solar goalpost converters and 2 more banksticks and the whole 'goalpost' set up it top drawer will never look back

I have both, it depends on which water i'm on to which I use,I prefer banksticks when I can get them in the ground.

Sticks for me everywhere. I have seen to many pods take off. I fish alot of weed in the summer months, snag fishing and the dreaded gravel humps bump and bars, its all semi locked up or locked up fishing. (you carn`t let a big fish get a head of steam up). I can honistly said i get my sticks in all places some how, that and the pipe clips, my rods are going know where.

Theres alot of thought need to be put into your bank side aproach. I have a look on a local water from time to time, there are markers for the boats to sail round. Countless times through out the summer these markers can be seen moving about, spinning round with carp attached. Now this is Pi%% poor angling. How can you fish short of a marker (bouy), locked up, twenty yards down the bank chatting, with a rod pod???

Sticks when I can as they are far more versatile, pod if the ground is rock hard or fishing on a platform.
