Default lead and lead-clip concealment

How do you conceal your lead and lead clip ? Do you even bother ?

I try and use a lead that will have a colour/coating appropriate to the water im fishing, Got some that look like stones, some look sandy etc.
The lead clips i have in 3 diff colours for the same reason, although a nice waterproof marker can do a good job on them. Im not sure if any of it helps, but its a confidence thing, like my lucky underpants

I'm using a semi fixed lead system at the mo but I have tried all kinds of ideas like the permanent marker treatment and camo-ing up with sand from the lake that i'm fishing, I also coated leads to match.

I was never really that bothered about either until I saw underwater 5. The lead clip Im not massively concerned with but I'll try and get the lead to match as best I can. My main issue now is keeping it all as flat and as close to the lake bed as possible. Slack lines and light back leads for me from now on. (unless Im tight against snags etc before anyone tells me off!)

Most northern waters are meres and lakes with a covering of silt or sand on the bottom and the lead is nearly always buried or at least covered so I dont let it concern me.

When venturing down sarf to the gravel pits then I try and match lead and hooklink to the lake bed colour, or use flourocarbon. Ive even bought camo rig shrink tubing to conceal the hook for gravel pits.

like ian said i dont tend to bother messing round with leads as most of them might be sank in the silt, i used to try cammo'ing them up but have seen people catch with a shinny silver one so why bother, i think more on concealing the hook & rig more than lead clip.

As above really,

I don’t think I’d ever bother trying to conceal it as I’m mainly on silty waters, but what I will try to do is keep it very simple with as few parts as possible, which I think is coming at the same thing from a different angle if you know what I mean.

im fishing a water with clear deep steep margins and have been using those stonze pebble leads ( the ones that everyone laughs about). ive also been covering as much as possible of it in silkweed and just leave the 4" nylon hooklink showing. No tubing and a few blobs of putty up the line hides it all away nicely .

It's mostly deep silt mate - darker organic silt around the bay and sandy mineral silt in the shallows.

There is one firm area where you can wade out a bit around the point and a few swims/spots have pebles and bits and pieces where fish/ducks have swept the bottom clear, etc.
