You need to be a body builder to use long casts, too heavy and cumbersome for my liking. Infinities are fantastic.

Infinities, best reel I've used. If you can get at right price then go for them

Longcasts are great it doesn't matter with them being slightly heavier, they are sat in the rod rests for 99% of the time

Both way too heavy. Rods feel wierd with them when playing fish. But all personal opinion. All daiwa reels are top notch so if you like the infinites you should have no problems.

Just a little point.

I use infinity's for sea boat match fishing around Wales, I know at least one Welsh international who has a few and uses them a lot. I know another international who uses them for Tope fishing from boats. I have used mine for uptiding in the Mersey for Cod as well and I can honestly say that No one I have met has a bad word to say about them, no one I know has had a problem with them and they come in for some real hammer out at sea.

I agree though with the person who said they were heavy ....... But they sure are robust.

I know its not the same as Carp fishing, just thought I'd mention it.
