Default Close in Through action rods

can anyone recommend a good sensibly priced rod i know it seems odd but i use at present Fox 2 3/4 lb piker deadbait rods they work really well through action cast pva bags well and only £49 quid ( i do a lot of piking ? not much catching though) but they i feel are a little overgunned for close in work light leads, i fish waters with mid doubles and Capesthorne bigger fish but all close in. Anybody know if there are any 11 ft 2 lb rods available anywhere

Personally I use North Western rods in 2 1/4 TC for all my close in work and snag fishing, not sure of the model number, or, even if you can still buy them, bloody excellent though.

most rods with a low test curve should be ok, i did my capesthorne fishing with 12ft 1.75lb tc armalites but 2's or 2.25's easily suit that kind of fishing

I've got two pairs of rods for these situations, a pair of 1.75 t/c Andy Little DAM Carp Rods, and a pair of Tri-Cast Ledgends in 2lb Test, both lovely through action rods with a bit of 'umph' if chucking...

I would say look into armalites or if you can afford I've heard very good reports about the Sportex blanks if you can get hold of a set and will cover most of your carping, I know a few lads on here will back me up on this...

Other than that look in the mags, seen a few deal on Nashy rods before in this type of range, other than that maybe look into the barbel rod range?

I use 2 x Leeda barbel rods, both 1.5lb TC, lovely for playing fish on.
