i waited 5 weeks for mine bet its certainly versatile, thats the main reason i parted with my readies for it, the poles only have 2 joints to undo (3 sections instead of 5 on the mk2)
i bought the tension poles for mine too, they are recommended if you remove the front which i intend to do once it warms up a bit, they were an extra £30
the only thing i'm not keen on is the groundsheet, there are hooks on either side that hook onto the bivvy to tension it and this looks like a weak spot, apart from that one worry which might be unfounded it looks spot on

You do get what you pay for! Sold one today with a 2 man converter (super extended wrap)! Put it up before the customer had it and theyre spot on. Well made as usual and deffo worth the money... will outlast any of the cheaper COPIES. Had my original mk 1 bout 3-4 year and never had 1 problem with it... and im sure theres people on here that have owned aqua bivvies alot longer than i have had mine. Yer i spoke to neil smith last week and its about 3-4 week waiting on one... theyr'e all to order theyre that busy up at aqua. We cant even get them into stock as eveyone that come sinot us has somebody waiting for it :P ....... actuaklly every one aqua make usually has someones name on it! You wont regret it tbh.

is the trakker trident not the same minus the mozi doors? You can pick them up off ebay a bit cheaper.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...9944&rd=1&rd=1

This Trident went for £200 (rrp £379) today looks a bargain to me compared to Aqua,s. £399 price tag.

Dont get me wrong i know aqua is good quality i had an aqua bivvy dome for 12 years and it was superb, I now have the mk1 aqua dillo for 3+ years. (has had some small stitching areas come undone and a zip has gone in the door.)

Trakker looks equal quality to me though. When i need to replace mine, a £200 trident of ebay will do me.

My current bivvy is a trakker armo, just over 3 yrs old, have had loads of use out of it,just a had a few problems.....the first one had to go back as the waterproof coating began to blister within a month ,it was replaced then the stitching on the pegging points started to let me down and the clips on the groundsheet broke

I got an Aqua winterskin recently and imo the quality of fabric is much better compared to Trakkers,I have mates who have the Aqua version of the dillo which have lasted alot longer than mine and have heard all the "I told you so's" before and wouldn't like to make the same mistake again lol

Interesting that, ive never had a trakker bivvy only aqua. Like i say its good but its not bomb proof.

Any other trakker dillo owners not convinced of their quality? Ive only ever heard good stuff on trakker gear.

Take a look at the Angling Intelligence bivvy, its very similar to a Mk3 but an awful lot lighter, I got one from Trafford Angling after doing quite a bit of research and it really is a top notch bit of kit. Quite a bit cheaper too.

Everyone is raving about the AI gear and maybe rightly so but with it being new it hasnt stood the test of time like aqua and trakker for that reason alone i personally wouldnt touch it for a couple of years after the feedback rolls in.

That would be my concern too,
just had a look, weighing up the costs the intro price is £329.99, so £70 saving on the Mk3.
With a wrap the bundle would be £500

Without seeing one in person wouldn't like to take the plunge tbh,the pics not done much for me...where as the aqua screams an Austin Powers stylee "yeah baby"
