The new korda safe zone leaders might be your best bet m8.
They’ve got tungsten putty on them as well so they will sink

Default Clear leaders

You could use clear leaders or those new korda safe zone numbers, thought the tfg's were good till I changed my main line I'd stripped the leader knots off carefully and then I saw what damage the pallomar knot i'd used had done,it looked like it had cut into the loop so they went in the bin .I'll give the korda ones ago when I find them in stock somewhere

As well as some of the above, you could make your own leaders using a good length of flourocarbon.

I've got to say that i don't like the korda 'safe' zone leaders at all. After hearing a few grumbles about them i had a look at some that a friend had bought and the bead above the swivel can just about get over the tungston on the leader then i struggled even more to pull it over the loop at the top. Its just not on in my opinion that they are advertised as 'safe' as the top bead should always be able to slide off the leader with ease.

Right, rant over. You may carry on with the topic

i'd shy away from tubing, but that's my personal pref, i'd probably go for a TFG leader of some sort, but more than likley i'd not fish a leader at all

Why do waters ban leadcore anyway....but not the TFG/Korda leaders If used correctly I don't think leadcore is unsafe anyway....can anyone tell me what is 'safer' about the korda/TFG leaders as to be honest I've not looked at em as i use leadcore

The full rule is...

No lead core / shock leaders of any kind to be used. Braid can be used on the hook link only. (also on spod /marker rods ).

To be honest ive never used those leaders m8. Those lorda DVD's are a great watch and very imformative, but i cant help thinking there trying to sell there tackle.
I class myself as a born again fisherman, and learning my trade. SO how did you all catch fish before those Korda dvd's come out?

Thumbs down

if you`ve seen the korda get ups close up you`ll actually see that they are far from safe the top bead thingy is extremely hard to SLIDE over the top eye

i was up there the other night for the syndicate members meeting and some pardon me for saying this but **** was going on about the barbed hook only rule now he got put in his place and like bob said if anybody gets caught using lead core or barbless they will get stopped straight away so if you dont like the rules dont fish it.oh the bloke in question was laughed at by all for mentioning the best club in the world didnt let you use barbed aka prince albert.
