Default Longshank hooks When? and How?

How many of you use longashank hooks and when do you use them? I have recently bought some but dont really know when i would use them? Are they more suited to popup fishing?

Thumbs up

I use longshanks for most of my fishing,I think they work as effectively with bottom baits as they do with pop ups.Longshanks sit real nice under a pop up in a kind of ninja claw style,me likes

BIG debait this pal, alot of lads i know hate them, think they're to aggressive and have a tendancy to tear more than short shank patterns, i'v had some instances were i'v had tearing with my hook holds, but have also with short shank patterns.

personaly i'm a big fan of long shank hooks, the kamasan B745 are my preferd hook, they're light and spin like bugg£$ry, i use them for 70% bottom bait fishing, the only draw back is they're week and open out 'v' easily, so i use tham mainly for open water fishing, korda long shank's another fave of mine, less turned in eye making a better angle for mono's and fluro's, alot stronger two, but slightly heavier, i'm aslo a big fan of nailers and fox '5's, i think it's a confidence thing, and a personal preference thing, i'm fishing a water at the moment that dunt alow them, so i'm on short shanks on there

Snap, I prefer the straight barbed hooks, and a bit of shrink tube for added twist.
