Just sold my Delkim TXi's and was gunna get a set of the new TXi's Plus's but am little tempted to go for the new Solar V10i instead. Think i'll wait to see peoples views on this topic to see which alarm is most favourable and to hopefully see some points as to why.....

i had to vote other coz as i have said before mine are so old that they run on coal and the name whatever it may have been has long rubbed off but they still do what i want em to do (work as a rod rest ) and when the rod gets dragged in the alarm goes off

No they are more sensetive then that but not as advanced as some of the kit you lads use.

Yeah its true about Solartronics, they have ceased trading so ive been told by many tackle shops. I was after new alarms myself after selling my old delkims to fund an alarm upgrade.
For me it was out of Delkim plus Txi with reciever or Solar ALM V10 and reciever. Went to stapeley angling centre and opted for the solars luckily they didnt have any in stock so i ordered them. After phoning round more tackle shops i was told the company solartronics have ceased trading and not to buy them.
So i canceled the order and thankfully bought a set of Delkim Txi and reciever from Daves of Middlewich which I absolutely love and have no problems with.

So i would recommend you getting your Fox alarms or even think about Delkims
