Default Reel choice

I'm planning on buying 2, possibly 3 reels over the winter. I've wittled the choice down to either the Shimano AERO 8000 GTE-B, or the 10000 XTE. Question is, apart from a bigger line capacity, what does the 10000 offer that the 8000 doesn't? And is it worth the extra £20 per reel?

Opinions, or experiences with either reel would be appreciated.

Cheers

p.s I am after a third rod, so with that in mind the saving would be helpful if I went for the 8000's, but if it's worth paying the extra that's what I'll do.

the 10000 has far too much line capacity IMO, most do IMO, ive got 5000 Emcasts and they hold way more than i will ever need and they are the smallest of the range

I have the Emcast 5500's now, I want some baitrunner style reels also, and I don't like the idea of the baitruuner conversion for the Emcast's.

The thing you need to way up is how far do you need to cast on your chosen venues. The 8000's tend to cast a maximum of around 100 yards( with 15lb line), you can get a bit further with the 10000's. But as for actual fish playing and stopping power IMO there's not a lot in it, the 8000's never let me down when I needed to stop a fish, their nicely balanced, the clutch is smooth, the 10000's are slightly better on the retrieve but they have more bearings, all in all I think you wouldn't be disappointed with the 8000's especially as you get em for under £60

The cheapest I've seen the 8000's is £71, where did you see them for under £60 ?

Sorry mate misread your original post, it's the 8000re I was talking about for under £60, and to be honest they are a cracking bit of kit for the money, I've abused a set for the last 5 years and they still work a treat
