Default candle

Any one know where I can get hold of a safe candle holder, bush tec used to do them I think. Lights/torchs give out to much harsh light so looking to use candle light to give low bivy illumination during those long nights

Ive got a Bushtec candle lamp absolutely brilliant for the money, does not shine to brightly just about gives off enough light for you to see things in your bivvy. Used in conjuction with a bivvy magnet! Gives off some heat too on those chilly nights!

Thanks all. As Phil says Ialso am not one for a bright light on overnight but have been told that candles will give loww background light in bivi only and not pollute outside. Don't like idea ofnaked flame, knowing my luck will go up in flames. Will try and get a bushtec or one of the UCO mini's as suggested by Bet

I always light a few tealights on a cold night placed on bait buckets, give a faint light but also give out a bit of heat to take the chill off.

Make sure they are out before retiring to the bag though.
