Make my own back leads with some plastic running rings and tiny match bombs. Make about 10 for £3 so dont care if i lose them, yet to lose one apart from in weed etc.

I always make my own out of running rings and 1/2 oz cheap leads, usually have 7 or 8 in my tackle box, so cheap who cares if they fall off.

Who carrys this many back leads!!!!!!!!!!!!

To have lost 6 in a night? I would of run out after the first one fell of my line, may of had a spare 1 somewhere but not that many. Generally have 2 or 3 in box and fish either 2 -3 rods.

Agree with Smokey, I'm not convinced that they are really effective unless you're fishing really close in.

I use those ones when available too matey, the only thing I dont like about them is the unfinished burr where the ring fits onto the lead, slight doctoring soon sorts it tho never lost one off the line but have misplaced a few of em on the bank.

i had a conversation in a tackle shop about korda backleads with a rep in there i was slagging them off for the very reasons you guys are saying his reply was well you would'nt need to keep buying them if they did'nt fall apart would you more reason for me never using them again

Cheers Mark for the plug lol. My backleads have a stainless steel swan neck clip that is very user friendly and can be attached to the line using one hand and not having to mess around pulling rubbers or clips apart etc. How mad is this.....you get 10 for £8.00 in a bulk deal...Result!!!
And they dont come off every time a bat hits your line. In fact I would be surprised if you could lose one of these things at all. Two sizes available:30g or 50g. Cheers Guys Bill
