Default Mono Hooklengths

Hi people off to les quis in a few weeks and they recommend mono hooklengths as this seems to have better results , i have been before and used a few different ones along with a few coated braids and caught on both, but was wondering what mono you would take and have confidence in it , thanks , shaun

Default Mono

Hi Shaun,

I remember in a Tackle Box catalogue a few years back some there were drawings of some famous anglers favourite rigs.

In there was Tob's Les Quis rig and it was made up of 14lb Trilene XT so that's where the recommendation probably comes from. (Tob being a partner in Les Quis? I may be wrong though?)

By the way XT is awesome in 8, 10 or 14lb. It has a superb lacquered finish and knots up really well. Get on it you won't regret it.

Shaun...make sure that you get the white as the green doesn't seem quite as good.

Tob...the small-eyed stroke puller (Tiger Bay).

Have a successful trip m8.
