Jesus...how much gear does a person need for 48 hours to warrant loading up a barrow that heavy?!

Maybe a cut down on gears in order...makes you more mobile therefore more inclined to do a move when required?

Its carping not camping!

Single-wheeled one for the boards on the Mere, I can't see the difference between a cheap one and a quality one, I find that it's down to how you stack it that counts and where the bulk of your weight is in comparison to your wheel/the pivot point.

Whichever barrow you get just make sure the wheel is located underneath the main frame ie as nige has said like a pivot-if the wheel is too far forward it defeats the object as you'll be carrying the weight on your arms and the barrow won't be doing its job.

Single wheels are good for manouverability, double wheels are good for stability but bear in mind its harder to steer with two wheels so sharp corners are a mare.

One of the nash barrows has an adjustable axle so it caters for both twin wheel and also gives the option of pushing both wheels into the axle centre creating a single wheel system.

Just remember your can of tyre weld for that pucture..it WILL happen at some point!

Got the ali-mule and can't fault it. Think the only difference between this and the std one is adjustable legs and room for the bedchair on the front.

i've got a cheap n cheerfull wychwood single wheel cost me £39.99 the wheel was to small so that cost me another £15.99 for a bigger wheel and to be honest it's not upto the job . wheezy's wychwood mule cost him £25 more than my total outlay and is about as good as a barrow gets. my next barrow would be a wychwood mule

Dont mess about with others the only one is prestige, MK2 seems the best as its simple with enough bits to hold your kit on. Makes moving swims oh so easy.

i`d strongly advise anyone to avoid cheap barrows as when i started i bought a cheap one with barrow bag for 50quid and it was as strong as a chocolate tea pot in a summer greenhouse! im definately looking to invest in a good one, but there are alot of waters with good car access
