for what its worth, i've had the mk2 porter for around 6 years and its excellent

same here marker and probably around the same age and its still going strong .ive had to replace the wheel once because it became wobbly apart from that there spot on !!!

i`ve been looking at the carporter mk2 and mk4, i was going to go for the mk4 not knowing the difference but didnt want to regret buying the cheaper one but seems like the mk2 is a gud `un!

The mule doesn't have side bars, but does have 2 rings on each side for the bungee's supplied. It does have a bar at the front to rest the holdall on. The base on the mule is a perforated plate and not just a frame though, so small items dont fall off and you don't need to use the bedchair as a base.

Take a look, you won't be disappointed.
