Question Braid recommendations?

I use the same rods and reels for both my Carp & Pike fishing.
2 x Greys Prodigy 2.75lb tc and 2 x Greys Progidy 3lb t.c
Reels 4 x Shimano Aerlex 7000's

I was fishing for Pike last year on a very weedy water and managed to loose quite a few pike lures as a result of 12lb mono snapping. Before I get flamed only 1 lure was lost in the water, the rest were in trees.

I took some advice an switched to 30lb briad.
My casting distances & accuracey has improved and the indication given by the braid is great, but I have noticed that my catch rate on carp in particular has dropped.

Im thinking that its down to the cheap n cheerfull 30lb braid I chose.
I cant recall the make but it does seem quite thick and in clear water is obvious.

Can anyone provide some recommendations as to what has a good size/breaking strain and is fairly well camoflaged.

Obviously what ever I go with needs to be reasonabley priced and available in bulk spools.

First off, you need to consider whether braid is the correct mainline to use for the 'rest' of your fishing.

Braid is undoubtedly the best mainline for lure fishing, but for other styles of fishing you may need special circumstances to justify braided mainline (e.g. extreme range carping, a heavy braid for slack line fishing, floating braid for drift float piking etc.).

If you can give a clearer indication what you want to use your braid for, then I'm sure some monkeys will happily offer advice. However, mono is by far the mainlinre of choice for the vast majority of bait fishing techniques.

If you're still after recommendations, for lure fishing I have 100% confidence in Power Pro.

Mike.

I have 3 spare spools loaded with 12lb sensor mono which I use when braid isnt allowed, I also have 1 spare spool of floating braid for the odd time I need it when drifting for pike.
I'll be honest I prefer the indication and extra strength offered by braid so tend to use it before the mono as its allowed on the waters I fish.
Obviously terminal tackle is fish friendly/safe.

Im basically looking for a sinking braid that I can use for both piking and also for long distance carp fishing.
As stated the braid I currently have loaded looks a thick and obvious although I have had some catches when using it.

Subject to recommendations I'll retire the old braid to my beach casting reels.

i always check out the actual breaking strains of all lines before using them especially with braid as alot of them break well under the stated bs
its all about confidence but you can't ignore that for example 29lb power pro braid is said to actually break at around19.13lb
for my lure fishing i use berkley fireline but would not use it for carp fishing, when braid is needed for carp i use nash bullet, sinks well and is a nice green colour unlike the smoke grey of berkley

Lets try and explain this a bit better.

I have 4x Arelex reels with 8 spools.

I have 3 x spools loaded with 12lb Sensor Mono for general fishing (Carp) on clear bottoms.
I have 1 x spool loaded with Floating 30lb braid.
I have 4 x spools loaded with 30lb braid which I want to use for Pike & Carp at range and in very weedy water.

Ive concinced myself that the braid on the spools last mentioned is too thick and because of this, and the colour, is obvious to fish. If I can clearly see it then so can they.

I want to swap the line on these last 4 spools.
Main criteria is:
Around 25 - 30lb breaking strain.
Low dia.
Colouring more suited to carp waters.
Sinking
