Dj I own a set of TF Gear Tremor rods which are the same blanks as the hi-s and the build an finish is superb so don't count TF gear rods out pal.

Its just up to you if you wont to have the free spirit name on your rods

'Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery'.

Anybody that believes the same high grade carbon cloth is used on the TFG rods as the top of the range Free Spirits maybe a few quid better off, but you will buying another set in a couple of years time.... Fatigue, Tired, Floppy.

For Sale.

I know your right Mark, but at the time I could not afford to turn the price down pal, in a couple of years time I will buy some more rods-its only money

good point SF,
i would rather spend the extra few quid for them to last longer then go all floppy etc...
if you guys are saying that TFG are virtually a imitation but cheaper then why is it that we say the originals or always the best??

It wasn't aimed at anyone in particular Tony. If someone can afford the best, as in all aspects of fishing (bait, line, hooks etc) i just don't see the point in wasting money buying a poor imitation of quality. My current sets of rods are all from the best of the 'Free Spirit' range, i have wasted money in the past on inferior rods etc that i thought would last, only to be shelling out on more of the same but better in a few years time...... reckon i will of retired from angling when i've wasted the selection i use now
