Default the new atts bite alarm

ATTs Bite Alarm
seems some very odd ideas have been implemented on them firstly the alarm has no speaker at all
so unless you already have the attx system or can buy both at the same time the alarm is useless,so you cant work your way up to having a set which i'm sure many people do
and if the receiver packs in or you forget a spare battery again the alarm is useless as it doesnt bleep
imagine travelling to france and finding out you forgot the receiver
there are no buttons on the alarm at all ,not even an on off button so i presume it works wirelessly from the receiver (turn receiver off alarms go off)

I think their trying to go one better than nevile on relibility stakes

Was looking at them on the climax site and a set of 3 with ATTX transmitter is around £300

Not to bad when you consider the price off an attx , but like youve underlined above theirs a few down sides to permantley silent alarms

Personaly Il be sticking with the TXI +s (which I have permanently on silent , or is it just a lack of fish ; )

sounds like there trying to hard to be smaller and more different than anything else when 99% of anglers are more concerned about quality and reliability than tartiness

I could, sent two back in 6 months. I really like the look of these, might put an end to the incessant fiddling and bleeping of some carp anglers.

When this thread started people were obviously a bit negative to this new product due to past experiences with previous stuff but it sounds like that these little babies are getting good feedback and after venturing out and having a play they look a decent bit of kit and a serious contender for changing to.
Had a play with them at a couple of shops over crimbo and shops were having to order them in due to demand..obviously foliage issues with the receiver cant be tested yet but as my mate Andy had a play the receiver he found the alarm response was spot on and no delay.

Just wondered if anyone has got a set and how they rate them in the cold weather.?
