ive used 20lb amnesia as my shockleader for years on my mono reals for years with no problems,
but if your after total line concealment i can't reccomend nashy's bullet braid enough, give it time to sink and it will hug the bottom from the rod tip to the lead, 25lb was my favourite strain hope this helps

Im after being able to give it the big un aswell mate. Been told the bullet braid is cack for whacking it out.
I will be using it as a leader for all ranges of fishing though. The main reason behind it is because i want to use it as a leader like leadcore and the new esp crystal line im using is mint apart from it snapping everytime i try to compress the rod.

Ive recently switched to Flouro carbon shock leaders and found it spot on, no frap ups or crack offs. I use seagaur in 25lb. which i purchased of ebay.
Seaguar Ace Hard Fluorocarbon Tippet - Fly Fishing Tackle and Fly Fishing Equipment well recommended. |

I have just started using the Diawa tournament tapered leaders, they are around 12-14lb at one end to allow for easier tying to your main line and goes up to around 35lb for giving it they big chuck.
I think cost about a fiver for four leaders to the spool. Not had any problems and can definately recommend.......... |

The idea of using floro Dave is it sinks like lead and is almost invisible? fished semi slack should help conceal the last 25 feet up to the lead?
Ive used foox and diawa tapered leaders, you get a slightly smaller knot but cant say ive noticed much difference in distance achieved |
