Just the same as boaties, in the wrong hands deadly! As for the core kinking, never seen it ever and the chances are extremely slim. Leadclips - lead ejection is a sure way or slowly poisoning our water with toxic lead - very responsible but it will only affect out children and grandchildren. Some idiots think that this is acceptable and don't think of what the long term damage will be. Leadcore with lead clips or running rigs is utterly unacceptable Your opinion but I don't agree. It all boils down the angler and this arguement can be used in many aspects of fishing and practices. Plastic baits are more dangerous and more likely to cause problems after a crackoff coz they just sit there untill picked up unlike bait that will breakdown and rot. We can pick holes in anything that we do as there will always be an element of danger regardless of what we do. |

I think in the answers to the question there has been a mix up, lead clips on leadcore aint the question dj13 was saying about leadclips that dont eject the lead no mention of it being on leadcore, that in my eyes is bad practice and shouldnt ever be put to use. With some of the replys there are people who are still answering it with the usual 'if its used etc' well i put to you if its used correctly by what we call experienced anglers what happens in a crack off and it landed precariously near to the snag situation i wrote earlier in my ramblings?
newbie that is a good point mate everything we do in angling can have a detrimental effect to our quarry and our environment. |
