Do you mean the Century M1, original Marker rod?

If so they are Darn Good!

Chuck a lead a long way attached to the Marker Float.
Very good feeling along the bottom and the Eyes are Braid Proof

I've had the original M1 marker rod for about 6 years it was the only dedicated marker rod out at that time, it's still going strong even with braided line awesome bit kit

century rods are solid, and will be very good.
decent marker rod that i can recommend is the standard greys marker (12ft). it is a cracking rod for most waters.
mate of mine also got the heavy marker (12' 6") and thats a beast. really only suitable for proper long range fishing (80yds+).
the same applies to the greys spod rods.
