If you look at most modern tents they have a silver reflective coating on the flysheet to iliminate this problem.

Trakker Global Hypercolour Bivvy.

Changes colour in different temps - now wouldn't that be a good idea?

Probably not many members would remember that material!!!

Spot on there Bobbins as the last thing you want to be stuck in on a hot day is a Black Bivvy! Vents or not it will be like an oven and thats even before you put the wrap on it!!! as black has a zero rating when it comes to reflecting light/heat it just absorbs everything.

Plus if you are fishing a water where they spook easy I cant see Mr Carp being very happy looking up out of the water to see a huge black outline bearing down on him he will prob think its a massive cormorant

This sounds like another way to increase profits during the credit crunch.

I will be sticking to my Orig Aqua Armo...

Its winter camo for these long dark nites

Top idea "andypet" Global Hypercolour they could be green in the day and as it gets colder turn to black

Definatley wasnt a good material for my sweaty teenage armpits

No doubt these will be the new black in 12 months

Just got one. 2 man/custom extended wrap with silver, gold and red trim.

First trip out with it this weekend - going on Top Pool for the first time also. Can't wait. Especially as my new coleman lantern has just arrived also.

Utter b0ll0cks IMO and just an attempt to get people to flog their green ones to have a black one

What is the thinking behind offering this to the market, I can't think of any practical advantages that it offers but would suspect anyone forking out on one won't mind that

Not quite! Me and four mates are going on there for a bit of a social. You'll be able to tell us lot as we've all got identical stainless spod/marker rod stands with big union jacks/England til I die badges on.

Suppose this isn't the thread to ask but what baits/methods work on Top Pool? I was thinking of a big bed of tiger nuts on one rod and using a big ball of method, recast every 10 mins or so, on the other??

IMO just yet another trend those older chaps like myself will remember when the bright blue shakespeare boxes came out soon followed by everything in same shade of blue brollys ,tackle boxes , landing and keepnets .

Change the colour of summat if that had any sense they would stick 50 -75 quid on top of what it would cost to buy the normal green one and all the tackle tarts would just have to have one if there were such a place as a common sense shop they should all visit it and buy some
