One sentence:

"Everything in its right place" !

Boats on a boating lake, rods on a carp lake! Seriously though, if you
feel the need to use a boat on anywhere smaller than 40 acres then why not join the Royal Yachting Association?

Sorry Blankmaster not aimed at you!

yeah whatever !!!!!

the same was said about bite alarms way back, along with the electric guitar by blues purists.... the list goes on and on

its called progress boys and its not gonna go away so get used to it !!!!!!!

tbh andy i think it should be down to what the individual wants to do .... if they want a boat and use it with a sensible attitude whats the problem ??????

after all its them who are fishing for there own enjoyment innit?????

also i think some people take fishing way to seriously .

it ends up like ww3 rather than the gentle pastime its meant to be...

this thread been a prime example of that

blankmaster

( 25 years carp fishing cant cast for s*** needs a boat.... yeah whatever !! )

So in what way would owning a minature of an Argentinian navy cruiser assist in his campain against the use of bait boats surely he would want the minature of the Submarine that sank the Belgrano

Sorry fellah i was not being sarcastic i was simply pointing out that a minature version of an Argentinian cruiser was not the minature version of a submarine that you obviously thought it was .

It appears the majority of baitboat users are far more skilled with casting than the anti brigade are prepared to give credit to.So i reckon the guys without boats just cant afford them so the cop out is the lads with them cant cast in there view. The only way to sort this is for someone to organise a comp and lets see what these real casters can do as against the bait boat novices.

Mate of mine says the next person who say non-boaters just cant afford them is gonna get a shock.
He reckons he's going to offer to buy it then run a sweep on how many air rifle pellets/full spods/cattied stones it takes to sink the damn thing. Either that or set it on fire and see how long it stays afloat, all proceeds to a suitable charity of course...Is there a price on yours? i'll have a word.
Being as you are in the boating camp perhaps you should have a name change to 'skilledthumbz'

Perhaps I should have used say the Cutty Sark as an example. After all that did deliver foodstuffs!

I spend more on boile in 3 months than the cost of a model boat, geez afford a toy boat, If only I could afford one The motorised skill substitute is for the discerning noddy who can't cast far or more importantly with accuracy and consistant with the spod of life. We could cast at the aformentioned kiddys toy and see who can put a hole in it with a 4oz zip lead!

So how does it appear that the boaties are far mor skilled at casting when they DON'T.?????????
