Been looking at the 2 man version of this myself - but the weight issue was mentioned to me.

With today's advancements in handling luggage with barrows - I'm not sure how much of an issue weight really is? If anything does it not suggest you are getting a denser, better quality material?

OK - I'll go with you on this matey! To be honest I'm split between the two.....so I'll take you're advice and go for the jrc.

Thanks again.

Hi

I have the plus and the 2 man version

it was recommended by Paul from Carp fever at Droylsden

If you want a bivvy for bad weather you will not beat this one!

Paul said buy the cheaper ones if you are doing just odd days but for anything like france for a week then either the Armadillo Mk 2 @ £400 plus and his second option or recommendation to me was the chub plus came in at £200

I know nowt about the weight side sorry. In the summer months I have not bothered taking the outer skin. You also get as extras with the price windows mozzi door pegs etc again I only take what i need.

hope that helps

john

forgot to ask. Is the weight an issue? is it for overnighters or for longer spells?

is there easy access to your swims?pegs?

will it be used abroad?

will it be used in winter?

Im my opinion I would have bought the Armo Mk2 but did not have the £500 plus to have what the chubb plus offers
