note to self.. buy shorter sticks in future lol

in all honesty matey, for a neat job you would probably need to speak to a metal workings, or speak to the Solar and see what they will do for you...

already spoke to your terminator about this....
but after seeing a picture of 'ash bradburys' setup in one of the magazines. i couldnt believe how close his rods were together. it was ridiculous. the tartiness in me led to me emailing him on were or who to get them from.

turns out he just made them himself. by cutting down his solar stainless.

Hi Jack, i actually made them myself, from cut down solar stainless, you can pull the end brackets of and cut the arms down then glue the brackets back on. it is hard getting them off, but if you use a vice and strong pliers it can be done!

they are close arnt they!!! lol

regards

Has everyone gone mad?? Is there a 'proper' reason to need ones buzz bars making shorter?? Have you both got one rod fashioned from lead which pulls your incredibly wide setup either left or right??
Why not just buy say a couple of Solar bars in 12" for 2 rods and a couple in 15" for 3 rods. Even better why not just buy the 15's to cover both eventuality's?
What possible benefit could you possibly gain from having your rear bar an inch or so shorter anyways?? Fashion I reckon, you will no doubt look much better than before especially if your rods are soooo close that you have a nasty occurence with tangled rods galore.
Stop worrying about how you look on the bank and spend a little more time actually angling........

finbar do you enjoy to appear so righteous.

What I want to do with my buzz bars is purley cosmetic as I prefer my rods closer together.

as my fishing time is limited at the moment i am trying to do things 'fishing related' which I am sure a lot of people do.

You might as well not bother posting mate as you have hardly ever said anything even slightly constructive.

I had shortened Matrix bars last year, but got fed up of the folded handle thing, gone back to standard(short)bars after risking lost fish fumbling with reels...bewere!!

Refer to the quote below, at least carpking44 has 'seen the light' and adjusted his set-up accordingly...Fashion before fish safety, but at least all you 'Loreal carpers' look good...(Loreal carpers, has that been used before? its rather an amusing 'tag')

I beg to differ, i've made plenty of constructive comments on here. What about this post. I'm pointing out that you are wasting your time and effort and potentially putting carp at risk all in the name of vanity!
Its quite obvious that you are only just starting on your carping journey and have yet to overcome the 'I must look good' urge and settle down to gear that is functional, practical and reliable. If i'm wrong then please correct me but i'd lay money that you have not been carp fishing for even as long as 5 years, that is obvious from your posts. It'll get better and one day you'll have a more refined idea as to what is good and bad but at the moment, you haven't! I'm not trying to be rude or derogatory here just pointing out what I can see and probably what others are thinking...

Just as a side note have you ever been on here under a different name?? There is a rather familiar amateurish style to your posts

how may i ask is that putting carp at risk?
nobody is stupid enough to have there rods that close together that they cant pick them up easily?

like already said why is it you have to add your opinion to the matter.
if terminator wants to shorten his buzz bars then hell shorten them. i doubt your opinion is going to cloud his judgement.

Oh for goodness sake! I feel another session of 'spelling it out to Boov' coming on...
There are plenty of people who put carp at risk by having their rods far too close together probably yourself included. For instance the person who has their reel handles folded to get the rods closer is doing nothing but creating a chance of disaster upon having a take, that is a fact and there is no reply that can make it any different at all. The same goes for really short buzz bars where the reel handles can/do foul their neighbouring reel therefore causing a potential problem upon having a take.
This is all common sense stuff and I still find it ridiculous that people are willing (perhaps not caring?) to fish like this knowing full well that its bad angling.
Rods and reels should not be touching when on the rests and folding reel handles are for transportation, these are facts and there is no fishing situation that can justify it....

If the point is to get the rods really close together then why not put the buzz bars about 45 degrees to the bank so the rods will be offset and one reel will be in front of the other, no need to fold the handles down and you can almost have the rods touching if you feel it necessary, and the buzz bars won't need shortening.

If you want the rod tips to line up though you'll need an 11ft and 12ft rod if you fish 2 rods, add a 13ft rod if you fish 3

Tend to agree with Finbar tbh as it seems really pointless to me but if it's what you want then why not. MPS will make buzz bars to order, and the one's on the MB Baits (Cyprinus Carpio?) will also make to any size as well I think.
